Johnny Cash Vinyls
This project was both a commissioned work and a hobby project. The plain vinyl (larger image) was a commission for a friend and the other three were just for fun. This project was meant to give old, scratched, and discarded records new life again by repurposing them as displays of art.
Process
This design was made using stencils and was design with heavy influence and inspiration from Street Art/Graffiti stencilers. I designed a cut five separate custom stencils, one for white, two for the different shades of gray, one for black, and then one for the color.
